danford wensley DANFORD J. WENSLEY is a 1970 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and a 1973 graduate of the Boston University School of Law where he was awarded his Juris Doctor degree. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Wensley was selected to serve as a law clerk to the Justices of the New Hampshire Superior Court, where he worked for one year before joining Wensley & Jones predecessor firm.

Mr. Wensley's practice is concentrated in the areas of municipal law, zoning and planning, personal injury and commercial litigation and estate planning.

A lifelong resident of Strafford County, Dan has been active in community affairs throughout his professional career, having served as a member of the Rochester City Council and as a member of the School Board of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, as well as a member of the Rochester Economic Development Commission. He has been involved in youth athletics for many years and was a coach and manager of the Rochester Post Seven American Legion baseball team for the past 14 years. He is a Director of the Rochester Day Care Center and is a founder, Director and Secretary of the Rochester Allen Recreation Association.

Mr. Wensley is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New Hampshire, as well as before the United States Tax Court and the Supreme Court of the United States.  Dan is a member of the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association and of the New Hampshire and Strafford County Bar Associations. He serves as the City Solicitor for the City of Rochester. Dan has been active in New Hampshire Bar Association affairs, having served for many years as a member its Legislation Committee and Municipal Law Section. He is a member of the Charles C. Doe American Inn of Court and frequently serves as a neutral in the New Hampshire Superior Court Rule 170 program.

Dan and his wife of 35 years, Natalie, reside in Rochester and are the parents of one adult son.

Franklin C. Jones

FRANKLIN C. JONES is a 1970 Cum Laude graduate of the University of New Hampshire and a 1973 Cum Laude graduate of the Boston University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. Immediately upon graduation from law school Mr. Jones joined the predecessor firm of Wensley & Jones.

  Mr. Jones practice includes banking law, commercial transactions, business and commercial litigation, creditor and debtor bankruptcy law, real estate law and business formation and estate planning.

  Frank has been active in community affairs throughout his professional career, having served as a member and Chairman of the Rochester School Board, Chairman of the Greater Rochester Red Cross, and as a member of the Rochester Rotary Club. From 1986 to 2001 he served as Special Justice of the Rochester District Court and, from 2001 to 2005, he was the Presiding Judge of that Court.  He is a former President of the New Hampshire District and Municipal Court Judges' Association.

  Mr. Jones is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New Hampshire, including the United States District Court for the State of New Hampshire. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the United States Tax Court, as well as before the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the New Hampshire and Strafford County Bar Associations.   He has been active in the New Hampshire Bar Association, serving as a member of the Clients Indemnity Fund Committee and as member and past chairman of the Association's Economics of Law Committee. He has also been a member of the American Bar Association and the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association.  Frank was a founding member of the Charles C. Doe American Inn of Court and is a trained neutral in the New Hampshire Superior Court Rule 170 program.

  Frank and his wife, Jan, have been married for over 35 years and have four adult children, three sons and a daughter.

russell shillaberC. RUSSELL SHILLABER graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1957 with a B.S. degree. He attended Boston College School of Law, graduating with an J.D. degree in 1966. Russ has practiced law for over 30 years with the Rochester firm of Cooper, Hall, Whittum and Shillaber, P.C., where he was a principal, before joining Wensley & Jones in January of 2000.   

Russ has a broad range of experience in the general practice of law, concentrating his practice in the areas of business and corporate law; estate planning and administration; and taxation. He is American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.   Russell has been active in community affairs throughout his professional career, serving as a Moderator for the Town of Strafford, and as a director of the Rochester Agricultural and Mechanical Association, the non-profit organization which has been putting on the Rochester Fair annually for over 125 years.

Attorney Shillaber is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New Hampshire and before the United States Tax Court.   He is a member of the New Hampshire, Strafford County and   Bar Associations.

Russell resides in Strafford, New Hampshire.   Russ has two adult sons.
